What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy is much more than just a moment of relaxation; it's a recognized therapeutic approach that uses a range of manual techniques to work deeply on muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Its main objective is to relieve pain, release accumulated tension, and improve flexibility. By activating blood and lymphatic circulation, it promotes better tissue oxygenation and the elimination of toxins.

But its benefits don't stop there: by calming the nervous system, it provides a powerful response to stress and anxiety, contributing to better sleep and a general sense of well-being. It's a comprehensive discipline that helps you reconnect with your body, prevent everyday ailments, and restore your vital balance.

Approaches and tools of massage therapy

  • Swedish massage: The classic technique par excellence, ideal for a first experience. Its fluid and enveloping movements aim to relax the nervous system, activate blood circulation and provide deep relaxation.

  • Lymphatic drainage (manual method): An extremely gentle technique, composed of slow, rhythmic, and precise movements. Its purpose is not to work the muscles, but to stimulate the circulation of lymph to promote the elimination of toxins, reduce edema (swelling, water retention), and support the immune system. Ideal for a feeling of lightness and deep detoxification.

  • Prenatal massage (for pregnant women): A treatment entirely adapted to the specific needs of the expectant mother. Performed in a comfortable and safe side-lying position, it aims to relieve common pregnancy discomforts (lower back pain, heavy legs, tension) while offering a precious moment of relaxation and connection with one's body, for a more serene pregnancy.
